Stitches Out!

We are making progress although the last two weeks have felt like the longest two weeks of my life. That said, the work of keeping her resting and calm is paying off. We saw the surgeon this mornng to get her stitches out and the incision looks great.
The vet said she is walking beautifully but we still can't go for walks until after her six week x-ray. I scheduled it for February 1 which would have been my dad's 78th birthday. As he's always been my gaurdian angel I think that date will bring us good luck. We have for the most part adjusted to our new routine and while it isn't easy we are making it work. I do long to get back to "normal" and be able to take walks or leave her for extended periods of time, but I count my blessings that I can almost 100% teach from home and be with her as she needs me. She'll be here sleeping off the drugs (we had to put her under to take the stitches out) and being cute the rest of the day. It's a good day. It's progress and another step in the right direction to recovery.
